Killerton & A La Ronde

We went to Killerton house on Sunday, and A La Ronde yesterday. Both houses were beautiful but very different. Killerton was big and had WW2 stuff upon entering, it's set on 6400 acres of land and is the largest property owned by the National Trust. A La Ronde was small but ingeniously designed by the cousins that lived there, the amount of time it would have taken them to collect all the shells on display and in the gallery is impressive in its own right, let alone the time it would have taken to collect all the feathers to make the frieze in the drawing room. Truly astounding.

Will be studying over the next two days, then we'll go somewhere on Sunday. Not sure where yet, but will probably be Arlington Court.
